Comparison of End of Life Electronics Standards

Arcadian Solutions recently won the contract to compare End of Life Electronics Standards for the International Sustainable Development Foundation. Standards to be reviewed include the Recycler Qualification Program for End-Of-Life Electronics Recycling; Responsible Recycling (R2) Practices for Use in Accredited Certification Programs; the e-Stewards® Standard for Responsible Recycling & Reuse of Electronic Equipment, and WEEELABEX.

The aim of the project is to provide input into the revision of the IEEE set of standards for electronic equipment including P1680.1 Standard for Environmental Assessment of Personal Computer Products, IEEE P1680.2™ Draft Standard for Environmental Assessment of Imaging Equipment, and IEEE P1680.3™ Draft Standard for the Environmental Assessment of Televisions.  For more information about these standards, go to the EPEAT website.
